All of us can remember our first sleep-over and how great and yet frightening it felt to sleep over a friends house, instead of being home with mom, dad and your annoying younger siblings. These days kids our spending there times at their sleep over a little differently than we may remember. And instead of anonymously calling a boy in the middle of the night, they create fake Twitter accounts to instant message them their feelings. The worst part about it is once they all get together they start talking in an internet lingo that makes the parents heads want to pop off.



There are some things however that has not changed however that probably should have. Children may be sleeping in the worse possible conditions while at a sleep over. I remember when I was just a child and would go sleep over my friends house. While I was there I was able to get away with anything sometimes I would not take a shower the entire time I was there, although now the thought of that disgust me at the time it was the greatest feeling in the world not having anyone telling to clean or what not. The important thing to do is sit down with your children before they leave and let them know the importance of staying clean no matter where they are. Also do not trust they living conditions of another home because they will likely be sleeping on a couch or floor so make sure you pack them a sleeping bag and if not duvet covers make a great last minute sleeping bag.
